O Sakhi: Her Voice in Verse and Song in Dubai

An evening made for lingering.
For a remembered melody. A line of poetry that stays with you. A familiar story heard in a voice you may not have heard before.
O Sakhi: Her Voice in Verse and Song turns towards the women of our epics, women whose stories have travelled with us through generations, and invites us to encounter them again through story, verse and song.
Intimate, evocative and deeply rooted in the many textures of India, this is an evening to listen slowly, feel deeply, and rediscover something familiar.

Some stories are not merely told. They are handed down.
Across generations, they gather retellings, interpretations, silences and memories, the warp of an inherited story meeting the weft of every age that receives it.
Katha Sutra returns to these stories through a contemporary lens, weaving together storytelling, poetry and music to follow new threads through something familiar.
Because a story can remain the same, even as the way we see it changes.
